Whether you\u2019re training for meets, getting back into the pool, or just looking for a queer\u2011affirming space to move your body, you belong here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udc99 <strong>Step 1: Register With UMKC<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To swim at UMKC\u2019s Swinney Recreation Center, you\u2019ll need a UMKC membership card. You can have one made at the front desk for $5. You can use <a href=\"https:\/\/aimsmobilepay.com\/\">AMP to pay for parking<\/a> at UMKC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">All KC Wave swimmers also register with <strong>United States Masters Swimming (USMS)<\/strong> \u2014 it gets you meet access and a subscription to <em>SWIMMER<\/em> magazine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcb8 <strong>Step 2: Choose Your Dues<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We keep things flexible so you can swim in a way that fits your life:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"\"><strong>$20 per practice<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>$60 per month<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"\"><strong>$150 per quarter<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pay online or Venmo the organizer \u2014 whatever\u2019s easiest for you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83d\udcac <strong>Step 3: Join Our Facebook Group<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our private Facebook group is where the magic happens \u2014 updates, events, memes, community support, and all the team chatter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Email <strong>KCWave@gmail.com<\/strong> and we\u2019ll send you an invite.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\ud83c\udfca\u200d\u2642\ufe0f <strong>Step 4: Dive In \u2014 Tuesdays at 8 PM!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We swim <strong>every Tuesday at 8:00 PM<\/strong> at UMKC\u2019s Swinney Recreation Center.<br>Show up about <strong>10 minutes early<\/strong> \u2014 we\u2019ll be the friendly queer crew by the pool.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Thinking about joining but not sure yet?<br><strong>Try a practice for free.<\/strong><br>Come see what we\u2019re about before paying USMS or KC Wave dues.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If you\u2019re planning a trial swim, let us know in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcwave.club\/team\/contact-us\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"25\">contact form<\/a> so we can know you&#8217;re coming.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Where LGBTQ+ community, joy, and splashy good times come together.
